World Geography I
World Geography I (lecture)
What is world geography?
World geography explores processes that shape Earth, with an emphasis on the human experience. These processes are a result of physical and social circumstances which form a variety of settings. The prevalence of which forms the basis for (many of the) world regional geographies (e.g., East Asia, Europe, North America and so on).
What about course materials?
With guidance from Brescia University's School of Education, I have chosen to offer students the opportunity to learn more about world geography by focusing on content in Diversity Amid Globalization: World Regions, Environment, Development 7th Edition (2018). This book describes the prevailing physical and social processes that shape Earth. I will use this book as a means to guide students in their exploration and understanding of world geography. My course is one semester of a two part series at Brescia University on the topic of world geography; hence, my course is titled World Geography I.
